Hi, I’m Donna Robinson, the founder of DLR Accounting.
I knew from the age of 15 that I wanted to become an accountant. After leaving school in 1998, I completed a two-year GNVQ in Economics and Business at A Level standard, where I was proud to achieve a distinction. That gave me a great foundation and confirmed that I had chosen the right career.
In 2002, I started my career with an apprenticeship at a large accountancy firm. It was there that I gained invaluable hands-on experience while studying towards my qualifications. Within two years, I achieved my AAT Level 4 qualification, before going on to qualify as an ACCA accountant in 2006.
In 2011, I was honoured to be admitted as a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA), recognising my professional experience and commitment to maintaining the highest standards within the profession.
After years of working in accountancy, I founded DLR Accounting in 2012 with the aim of providing a friendly, approachable and reliable service that puts clients first. Since then, I’ve had the pleasure of supporting individuals, sole traders and businesses with everything from bookkeeping and accounts to tax planning and ongoing financial advice.
I understand that finances can sometimes feel overwhelming, so I believe in explaining things clearly, offering practical advice and building long-term relationships based on trust. Whether you’re just starting out in business, growing an established company or simply need help with your personal tax affairs, I’m here to make the process as straightforward and stress-free as possible.
More than anything, I enjoy getting to know my clients and helping them achieve their goals. Seeing their businesses grow and knowing I’ve played a small part in that journey is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do.
